Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. She was a licensed Interior Designer for 32 years with a name sake firm and while very sought after and successful she always yearned for the true passions of once again pursuing her original focus in the Fine Arts.
