This Equine Portrait was done for a fundraiser to promote the elite Grand Prix dressage trainer Jennifer Baumert of Cloverlea Dressage in Tryon, North Carolina and Wellington, Florida. All proceeds from the sale of this piece will go toward the rare opportunity given Jennifer for intensive training with the renowned Klaus Balkenhol in Germany for two months. This is such a wonderful opportunity and Jennifer would love to take two horses, the Hanoverian Stallion Don Principe and her own horse the Hanoverian Gelding De Wert. Jennifer returns from Europe in time for Dressage at Devon and has her sights on 2012 for the grueling selection process ahead.

Terry Kirkland Cook is a fine artist, a professional photographer and an all around deep thinking energetically creative individual. She delights in the creative process and is humbly thankful for the many gifts God has entrusted her with. She was a licensed Interior Designer for 32 years with a name sake firm and while very sought after and successful she always yearned for the true passions of once again pursuing her original focus in the Fine Arts. She completely changed that focus and direction a few years ago and relocated to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. It is here that this constant calling to the arts could be rekindled.
